I had the pleasure of taking portraits at a Docusign women’s networking event. They wanted to go beyond a classic mingling networking event and add an element that would really entice people to show up. Offering the opportunity to take brand new, updated, professional headshots is a huge value add to any event. Even though most people feel a bit nervous about being photographed, we all recognize the importance of having a great professional photo to introduce ourselves and our work.
After sharing some examples of what was possible, the event organizers and I decided on a dark background with overall bright and flattering lighting. My portrait editing process always includes color correction for the most accurate skin tones, light skin smoothing and eye brightening, and small adjustments to the brightness and contrast to make everyone look like the best version of themselves.
