Seattle Branding Photography: Nadira Design

If you’re looking for a truly original floral designer for your Seattle wedding or event, it doesn’t get better than Nadira Design. Amanda and her team create the most breathtaking arrangements. They truly look more like sculptures and works of art than simple arrangements. We’ve worked together a number of times and I’m always in awe of her creations. I felt so lucky to spend a morning in her studio with her to create some branding photos for the business.

Process vs. Finished Work Photos

I love working with other creatives where I don’t have to direct every moment. My role is much more to stay in the moment, watch, and find something interesting to photograph instead of what’s directly in front of me. For a floral designer, showing the process is often more powerful than showing the product alone. It builds trust. And tells potential clients that there’s real skill, intention, and care behind every piece they might commission. It also gives my client a rich library of authentic, in-the-moment images for social media, her website, and marketing materials. I wanted her to have a gallery of images that felt far more alive than a single static product shot ever could. Because of that, we intentionally created something that felt more wild and abstract, more of a work in progress than a finished centerpiece.

Posing and Anticipating

My role in moments like this is less about posing and more about anticipating. I watch how a person naturally moves through their work, then I position myself to catch the moments they’re not thinking about, how they adjust a delicate flower or the concentration of watching something go from chaos to order. It requires patience and a willingness to let the creative process unfold at its own pace, rather than interrupting it for something more polished and perfect. Not every shoot is able to let itself unfold like this, but I love when it does.

This is one of the reasons I love branding photography so much. The sheer variety of projects keeps me on my toes and I love coming up with unique ways to photograph each and every client. It’s the best kind of challenge and I love working with new clients in new industries.

Get in Touch

Working alongside another creative like this is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My focus is finding the best angle, the best light, and the best moment to press the shutter, all while she does what she does best. The result is a set of images that feels honest, personal, and true to her craft.
