The Amwins Insurance Seattle office was ready for new headshots and team photos for their employees, so they asked me to come to their office this spring and photograph everyone. They wanted an outdoor location with natural light and a natural background for each person.
The Photoshoot Process
I like to have 5-10 minutes with each person to get a great headshot. With that time, we’ll take a few photos, we’ll look at them together so the subject can see if they like their expression and posture, then we’ll take a few more photos and repeat, as time allows. You’ll end up with 3-5 edited, high resolution photos per person. I don’t use heavy retouching in my post-production, but I do apply some smoothing and brightening to make each person look like the best version of themselves.
