Kelly & John’s Wedding at Kingston House

Today we’re taking a look back at a beautiful wedding from August 2019! Kelly and John’s wedding spanned the weekend at Kingston House in Kingston, WA. Kelly was one of the few clients I have who wasn’t referred to me by a friend or family member. Yes, a google/the knot search brought us together! Proving, once again, to me that the clients who are supposed to find me, will find me.

This couple was such a joy to work with. I loved their energy and everything about their wedding day seemed to totally reflect who they were and what they wanted.

On Friday night, there was a perfectly laid back rehearsal dinner for family and close friends. There was one beautiful, long table set up in the middle of the lavender field and the food was provided by the Grub Hut burger truck.

On Saturday morning, Kelly and John got ready, separately, with their friends at the stunning house on the property.

We did a first look and portraits all around the grounds! I loved this moment where they exchanged cards they had written to each other :).

I love the variety of places to shoot at Kingston house! There’s the lavender field, the tree lined driveway, the backyard of the house, the ceremony tent at the bottom of the hill–there are so many unique locations encompassed by one venue. And the inside of the house is just as unique as the outdoor grounds.

Kelly & John’s ceremony was so sweet–officiated by two friends and perfectly heartfelt.

After the ceremony, guests gathered for cocktail hour outdoors and then moved inside for dinner and toasts.

The highlight of the night, for me, was certainly watching these two dance! They originally met swing dancing, so I knew we were in for a show. It was so much fun to watch and I couldn’t take my eyes off them.
